Polawax is a non-ionic, self-emulsifying wax (made from cetearyl alcohol and polysorbate 60) used in skincare and cosmetic products to blend oil and water into stable, creamy emulsions.
Uses: Emulsifier, thickener, stabilizer for lotions, creams, conditioners.
Typical dosage: 2–6 % for lotions, up to 10–15 % for thick creams.
Benefits: Produces smooth, stable textures; works with a wide pH range; heat-stable; gentle for most skin types.
Form: White pastilles or flakes; melts at ~46–54 °C.
